Made from 100% durum barley semolina, TAYEB's "tchicha moyenne" is a coarse grade of barley semolina and is idea for making a number of traditional soups and stews.  Known for its earthy taste and hearty texture, barley is often a staple ingredient in Moroccan homes.
Unlike its finer counterpart, Tchicha Moyenne offers a slightly chewy texture, making it an ideal ingredient for a more rustic, traditional Tchicha Soup. Traditional Moroccan Uses: In Moroccan cuisine, Tchicha or Barley Grits is a key ingredient in traditional dishes such as Hssoua, a warm, satisfying barley soup with milk, often served during colder months.  It can also be used in a variety of soups and stews.  Tchicha Fine or finely ground barley semolina is also available on bsaha.
