Artisanal Hand Made Tangia Pot

It's now possible to experience the Marrakechi classic dish Tangia at home.  Traditionally cooked in a clay pot, this dish of meat, preserved lemon and cumin will wow your tastebuds. 

As this is a handmade and hand painted piece, each item will vary slightly and may have minor imperfections in the clay or in the glaze around the rim.

Currently available in two sizes: 1kg (2.2lbs) and 2kg (4.4lbs).  The size rating indicated approximately how many kg of meat the pot can hold. 

Prior to first use, soak in water overnight.  The next day, let dry completely.  Rub the inside of the tangia with olive oil and place in a 300 degree oven for 2 hours.  Turn the oven off and let cool completely.  You're now ready to cook!
