Small Traditional Moroccan Clay Hand Painted Tagine
Taste Morocco at home with the most famous piece of North African cookware, the tagine. Tagines are typically stewed meats, simmered in spices and cooked to perfection over low heat. Very little liquid is required thanks to the conical shape of the lid. Create classics like Lamb Tagine With Prunes, Chicken Tagine With Preserved Lemon & Olives and so many more.
For use on stovetop with a heat diffuser or can be used in the oven.
As this is a handmade and hand painted piece, each item will vary slightly and there may be slight imperfections in the paint or glaze. This is a small size tagine measuring 17cm in diameter. Designs vary and are based on availability.
Prior to first use, soak in water overnight. The next day, let dry completely. Rub the inside of the tagine with olive oil and place in a 300 degree oven for 2 hours. Turn the oven off and let cool completely. You're now ready to cook!
